Description
MIRT specializes in the production and installation of historic windows, suitable for the restoration of architectural monuments under the supervision of restorers, as well as for new buildings designed in the styles of past eras. Historic buildings require restoration over time, and old windows lose their functionality, failing to provide adequate protection against cold, moisture, and noise.
To restore the windows' functional properties, you can choose between two options: restoring the existing windows or installing new wooden windows that are externally identical to the original ones but are manufactured using modern technologies and materials. MIRT has many years of experience in installing historic windows and doors for buildings of cultural and historical value. Our windows fully comply with the requirements of the State Committee for the Protection of Monuments of History and Culture.
FORMS OF HISTORIC WINDOWS
Every window we manufacture is carefully designed by our technologists, taking into account the architectural features of the building. As a result, the new window fully reproduces the appearance of the previous one—its color, shape, configuration, type of wood, presence of decorative overlays, and muntins of various shapes and patterns, as well as the color of the fittings.

DECORATIVE OVERLAYS
Thanks to decorative overlays on the glass unit and muntins, any building can be given elegance and character. They come in different shapes, sizes, and colors and can be installed both inside and outside the glass unit. A wide selection of capitals and decorative elements allows for the reconstruction or recreation of windows in a historic style.
There are several types of decorative overlays:
Glazing bar in the sash: This element divides the glass unit into separate parts, providing additional rigidity to the entire structure, which is especially important for large window openings. The width of the glazing bar varies from 60 mm.
Overlay on the glass unit: Wooden overlays are glued to the glass unit from both sides, representing strips of various shapes and sizes. They are attached to the glass using a special double-sided tape and sealed with silicone on both sides. However, due to the transparency of the space between the overlays, the
PROFILES FOR WINDOWS
Wooden profiles for historical windows with a thickness of 78 and 106 mm are ideal for preserving the authentic appearance of buildings with historical value. They provide a high level of heat and sound insulation that meets modern comfort standards. Profiles can be equipped with both ordinary and decorative aluminum overlays of the Aluron company, which gives the windows an elegant and sophisticated look, emphasizing their historical character.
